Born in Göttingen in 1961, she studied biology and developed a passion for quilting for more than 30 years now. She grew up in a family of tailors and handcrafty women and tried out almost every textile technique in her childhood and adolescence from knitting and crocheting to spinning wool.
First patchwork at the age of 15, first quilt sewn self-taught in 1982. Instructor for patchwork and machine quilting since the mid-90s. Classes taken by: Linda Taylor, Dusty Farell, Judith Larzelere, Claudia Pfeil, Pascale Goldenberg, Bernadette Maier, Elsbeth Nusser Lampe, Birgit Schüller.
Longarm machine training by: Suzanne Michelle Hyland, Vicky Hoth, Marie Elderidge, Cheryl Duncan.
Classroom assistance for: Angela Walters, Kim Brunner, Sue Patten, Canada, Sophie Santoine Furbere and many Handi Quilter instructors from the USA.
Handi Quilter stand support at numerous patchwork fairs and exhibitions in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Austria. Training of customers on longarm machines.
